Artist: TamaAn acoustic ensemble comprised of Malian multi-instrumentalist Toumani "Tom" Diakite, English guitarist Sam Mills and percussionist Djanuno from Guinea Bissau, Tama (a Bambara word meaning "to walk") presents earthy music flavored with sounds gathered from cultures around the world. Kora, guitar, cello, oud, piano, West African percussion and the donso n'goni, a kora-like instrument with deep bass range, are combined with melodically rhythmic vocals to create the ten outstanding tracks on the album. Recorded live using old analogue machines and vintage microphones, the songs on NOSTALGIE have a unfettered spirit that calls to the wanderer in all of us
