He possesses a neutral energy that represents the individual Orisha of each animate and inanimate thing. Osanyin-Erinle Osanyin is a restless and proud Orisha with a vast repertoire of sorcery (Ashai) and magic (Ogun). He rules the whole plant kingdom together with a vast group of servants called elementals. His presence is associated with the preparation of medicines, magical potions, sorcery and talismanic magic. Osanyin has the whole plant pharmacopoeia at his disposal. Formerly this task was the sole responsibility of Erinle. When he received the authority (Ase or Ashe) from Olodumare, he gained at the same time the monopoly of all plants, and the secrets to use them.
